Advertising Sales Executive (contract, entry level) Updated Aug 9, 2013:
Successful candidate will work from home, contacting prospective clients and generating sales leads through online research. You will sell advertising space for websites, online magazines, and online radio stations in our network, and process miscellaneous sales requests for existing clients. Follow-up with clients and ensure customer satisfaction in a timely manner. Schedule and meet with customers in person periodically when necessary. Additional sales tasks may be assigned for special projects as necessary.

Training: 15-30 min phone training will be provided, as well as sales literature and contact lists to start.

    Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or GED (some college coursework in advertising/marketing preferred)
  • 2 yrs consecutive cold calling or outbound sales experience in aggressive sales environment
  • Professional demeanor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have a computer with Internet access
  • Must be proficient in conducting online research through major search engines
  • Must have reliable transportation, flexibility in schedule
Additional preferred skills: bi-lingual (Spanish/English), knowledge of Powerpoint editing, HTML

Shifts: Set your own schedule - minimum 3 hrs per week (Indicate desired shift when applying. Morning preferred.)

Salary: 20-40% commission per sale DOE, other incentives and bonuses may apply. This position has unlimited income potential for the right candidate. College credit may be available for students. Responsibilities include adding friends for HomeBase Urban Network (HUN) websites by way of targeted searches, staying informed on company promotions and relaying accurate information to posting bulletins and comments to existing friends regarding company promotions, and maintaining on-going communication with Promotions Director.

Entertainment Promotions Coordinator (contract, commission based) Updated Aug 9, 2013:
Successful candidate will contact existing clients about new promotions. Offer opinions and ideas for new promotions for Hip Hop, R&B artists. Generate new business leads through online research and by attending urban events. Update client records and respond to incoming requests in a timely manner. Follow-up with clients and ensure customer satisfaction after project execution and sales purchases. Schedule and meet with clients in person periodically when necessary. Serve as company liaison at urban events. Maintain close communication with Street Team Manager. Additional tasks may be assigned for special projects as necessary.

Training: 15-30 min phone training will be provided, as well as promotional literature for email correspondence.

    Qualifications:
  • Must be an avid lover of Hip Hop and R&B music with unbiased opinions
  • Associates degree in Business or related field (work experience may substitute for degree)

Responsibilities include shooting photos at urban parties and events in cities within the Network, knowing where the hottest party spots are and gaining access to them, submitting photos to Promotions Director for consideration (via e-mail or electronic media), possible travel to special annual events

    Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 months experience in photography preferred but not required
  • 3.5 MP (or higher) digital camera
  • Knowledge of Photo Editing software preferred but not required
  • Must have a computer with Internet access
  • No professional experience necessary.

Responsibilities include writing and/or editing entertainment press releases, writing live performance reviews, attending hip-hop/r&b related events for review, and assisting with preparation of press kits

  • 2 years experience in journalism, technical or promotional writing
  • Must have a computer with Internet access
  • Must have reliable transportation, flexibility in schedule

Responsibilities may include attending parties and events on behalf of the company, sporting company gear, passing out promotional items and flyers at night clubs and events, posing in pictures with party goers at events, taking pictures at events, making special appearances upon request by Promotions Director. You will serve as a team member for one of the cities in our network. There are generally 5-10 team members per city team.

    Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year consecutive promotions experience
  • Must love attending urban parties and events
  • Must be outgoing, friendly, and down-to-earth
  • Must be a team player with great work ethic
  • Must have own transportation
